GETTING THE RIGHT PAD FOR YOUR RUG
Contact us or come by and let us specify the correct pad for your rug AND floor. Pads and Backings can be cut to the exact size needed.
Breathable Fiber Pads
No Adhesives, CRI Green Label, American Made
True pad, (not a rubber mesh), helps prevent rug fibers from crushing and breaking, prolonging the life of the rug. Safe on all floors. Keeps rug cleaner due to increased air flow under the rug, making the vacuum more efficient. Very moisture resistant, and they feel fantastic!
*Use when furniture is anchoring the rug. These pads do not prevent the rug from moving. Use our Non-Slip Fiber Pads below for smaller rugs and runners.
WHICH NON-SLIP PAD IS BEST FOR YOUR RUG?
It depends on the rug backing. Soft, fibrous rug backs grab onto the non-slip fiber best. Slick, smooth rug backs grip onto non-slip foam best. Bring in or send us a picture of your rug backing and we can specify the best pad for you.
ATTACHED RUG BACKINGS
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RUG BACKING AND A RUG PAD?
Backings are secured directly to the rug, creating one piece, while the rug pads are a separate piece cut slightly smaller than the rug, allowing for the rug to layover the edge, leaving the pad unexposed.
Soft Fiber Backing
Attached fiber backing will help protect your floor from scratches.
Attached non-skid backing is very effective at holding a rug in place when there is not sufficient weight (furniture) on it to do so. Great for doormats, hallway runners, and entryway rugs.
Attached cleated non-skid backing is ideal when layering small rugs over the top of other area rugs or existing wall to wall carpet.
